March 8, 2022

Dear Hofstetter Families,

Spring has sprung and with that Hofstetter is adjusting. Remember that on Monday, March 14, masks will be optional for all students, staff and visitors to the building. Also, as COVID guidelines continue to change, our students are returning to the cafeteria to eat breakfast and lunch. We will start eating both breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria on Monday, March 14. Breakfast and lunch continue to be free for all students throughout this school year.

Our daily schedule will also shift. Our school doors will open at 7:30 am for all students. Morning drop-off will be staffed and begin at 7:30. Students will go directly to the gym to either eat breakfast or wait with classmates until classrooms open at 7:55.  Academic instruction will begin promptly at 8:00 am, so please make every effort to make sure your student arrives to school on time. Finally, look for a note or newsletter from your classroom teacher about possible changes to which specials are occurring on which days.

With spring weather, comes mud, lots of mud. Our students love getting out into the warmer weather and running and this often leads to slips or falls on wet grass and muddy ground. Please remember to pack a change of clothes in your student’s backpack. Another gift of spring is an abundance of lost and found clothing, coats, hats, gloves and shoes.  Please come into the foyer to search for items your student may be missing. On March 29, all left lost and found items will be donated.

Hofstetter is looking forward to a productive and routine spring. The last round of conferences will be held on March 28, so please look for contact from your classroom teacher about a conference for your child. Please contact our office with any questions you might have.
